At least three people were fatally shot and a person believed to be the shooter died late Monday afternoon at a grocery store in northern Indiana. According to Elkhart police department spokesperson Jessica McBrier, two police officers were also injured in the shooting at Martin’s Super Market.
During a media briefing, she said two people were declared dead inside the store and two police cops sustained gunfire. He added the officers were in stable condition at a hospital.
As per the official, an investigation is under way with police questioning the witnesses. As of now, there is no danger to the public and no further information was immediately released.
“It’s a sad day in Elkhart,” McBrier said.
