'Not our war': Charlie Kirk opposed US role in Operation Sindoor; called Pakistan 'very sneaky'

Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist and close ally of US President Donald Trump who was killed in a campus shooting Thursday, had said in an earlier video that the US should stay out of Operation Sindoor, calling it “not our war” and describing Pakistan as a “very sneaky actor.”In a podcast uploaded in May on YouTube, Kirk said the US should avoid being drawn into the India-Pakistan conflict.“This is not our war,” he said in the video. He framed the clash as India’s retaliation to Islamic terror, adding, “India and Pakistan are on the verge of a war…Pakistan is 100% Muslim. Remember, they sheltered Bin Laden and have been a very, very sneaky actor. India is mostly Hindu. They don’t care for each other much at all.”

What the Heck is Going on in India!

Kirk dismissed concerns of nuclear escalation. “I do not believe this will escalate in any way, shape or form to nuclear power. Look, we hope for negotiations, but this is a great test of whether or not every conflict is America’s problem,” he said. While acknowledging that the US “slightly favours” India, Kirk argued support should remain symbolic. “Maybe we slightly favour India because they’re retaliating to Islamic terror, but that should go no further than moral support. That is it. This is not our conflict to get involved in,” he said.

Investigation into Utah shooting

The 31-year-old Turning Point USA founder was shot dead on Thursday by a gunman firing from a rooftop at Utah Valley University, where he was speaking. His killing, described by the governor as a “political assassination,” stunned Washington and the conservative movement.Trump and Vice President JD Vance paid tribute to Kirk, calling him a friend, ally, and a leading voice for youth conservatism.Authorities have urged students and residents to remain vigilant and appealed for information as the investigation into the Utah shooting continues.
