In response, schools, factories, and transport services were shut down across roughly a dozen cities.Frightening footage has emerged from Guangdong, China, where a local station recorded wind gusts of 67 m/s, the strongest ever measured in the region, according to Global Times.Another footage captured powerful gusts sweeping through a railway station in Guangdong, sending luggages flying across platforms.Nearly 1.9 million people were evacuated across Guangdong province, AP reported. In Chuandao town, a weather station recorded gusts reaching 241 kph (around 150 mph) at noon, the strongest ever in Jiangmen since records began.
