An Emirati family in Al Ain was left devastated on Tuesday by the tragic loss of two young sisters in a horrific traffic accident. The women, both in their thirties, were traveling in a vehicle driven by one of the sisters, identified as AS, when the crash occurred in the Oud Al Touba area. According to a report by Gulf Today, the sisters’ car was struck by a vehicle that swerved from the opposite lane. The other vehicle, driven by a young Arab man, lost control, jumped into the sisters’ lane, and collided with their car. In a statement following the accident, the husband of one of the sisters expressed his deep sorrow, emphasizing his faith in Allah’s will. He mourned the loss of his wife, who was six months pregnant, and her sister. He called on young drivers to respect speed limits to prevent further tragedies, while praying for patience and strength for the grieving family. The funeral ceremony was held on Wednesday at Al Shaheed Omar Al Maqbali Mosque, after which the sisters were laid to rest in the Umm Ghafa cemetery. Khaleej Times confirmed the identities of the deceased as Iman Salem Marhoon Al Alawi and Amira Salem Marhoon Al Alawi.
