Bhojpuri actor and singer Pawan Singh is likely to be sent to the Rajya Sabha by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), sources said.

Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh is set to enter Bihar politics ahead of the upcoming polls and is likely to be sent to the Rajya Sabha by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Notably, Singh was last year suspended by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for contesting the Lok Sabha elections as an independent candidate against an NDA nominee.
According to the reports, Singh is set to join the Rashtriya Lok Morcha. He met party chief Upendra Kushwaha at his Delhi residence, sparking the news of his political activity.
Pawan Singh has long been considered a supporter of the NDA. He has appeared several times at events organised by the BJP and its allies. His entry into the high-stakes Bihar polls is being considered as a significant advantage for the NDA camp.
In 2024, Pawan contested as an Independent candidate from Karakat. However, he lost the polls to Rajaram Singh Kushwaha of CPI-ML. He was expelled from the BJP after he announced his candidature against the NDA candidate as an Independent.
