The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will hold its first major internal meeting this month after the completion of its 100 years. The Sangh will commence its centenary year celebration programmes with the crucial Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal (All India Executive Council) scheduled to take place in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur from October 29-31. The three-day meeting is not just a routine annual gathering but the first high-level strategic review for the organisation as it steps into its second century of existence.
The meeting is an annual coordination gathering for the entire Sangh Parivar. Given that the upcoming Bihar election is a major political test for the BJP, the presence of top party leaders like BJP president JP Nadda and National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santhosh, alongside the RSS top brass, including Sarsanghchalak (RSS chief) Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah (General Secretary) Dattatreya Hosabale along with others will provide a crucial, closed-door platform for strategic alignment.
Sources say that representatives from RSS affiliates working on the ground from across the country, including poll-bound Bihar, those involved in tribal, student, and farmer welfare, will share their detailed, booth-level feedback and assessment of the political and social mood, which often shapes the final messaging of the party.
The RSS is the BJP’s ideological and organisational backbone. In a keenly fought election like Bihar, the Sangh’s vast network of dedicated Swayamsevaks is essential for door-to-door mobilisation, especially in rural and caste-sensitive areas.
The meeting is where the final instructions and emphasis for the groundwork are likely filtered down. The volunteers will be tasked with promoting a subtle but overarching narrative of national progress, social harmony, and the government’s policies, thereby creating a favourable electoral atmosphere for the BJP-led alliance
The meeting will be a confluence of power and ideology, attended by the Sangh’s top brass. It will also see the participation of key leaders and representatives from all 32 affiliated organisations that constitute the larger Sangh Parivar. The presence of such a wide spectrum of functionaries from various fields—politics, labour, education and tribal welfare—underscores the unified approach the Sangh adopts in shaping the national discourse.
The agenda will also focus on the roadmap for the centenary year celebrations, which aim for a five-fold transformation of society known as ‘Panch Parivartan’. This includes promoting social harmony, strengthening family values, encouraging eco-friendly lifestyles, fostering self-reliance, and cultivating civic duties. The discussions will assess how the affiliated bodies can synergise their efforts to further this vision across all states.
