Internet personality Sneako has gone viral once again, this time for praising New York’s new mayor, Zohran Mamdani, while taking a sharp jab at Elon Musk. In a clip that’s now circulating across social media, Sneako called Mamdani’s campaign “the greatest since Donald Trump’s in 2016,” crediting the 34-year-old Democrat for “owning the internet” the way Trump once did.Sneako’s comments came just days after Mamdani’s historic victory in the New York City mayoral race, where he defeated Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa to become the city’s first Muslim mayor. The streamer didn’t hold back, celebrating Mamdani’s energetic “aura farming” campaign while questioning Musk’s attempt to weigh in on a race he said the billionaire had “no ties to.”

‘My Absence &…’: Trump’s First Reaction On Mamdani’s Victory, Reveals Two Reasons For Triumph

Sneako praises Zohran Mamdani’s internet-driven campaign

Sneako opened his remarks by calling Mamdani’s mayoral run “the best American political campaign out of any politician in the U.S. since Donald Trump in 2015.” He said both men shared one key quality: their ability to dominate the internet.“The reason that Trump had the best campaign in 2015–16 is because he owned the internet,” Sneako said. “Right now, Zohran Mamdani, whether or not you like him, he owns the internet. It’s his.”Mamdani, 34, a Democratic Socialist and New York State Assembly member, became a breakout name in national politics after unseating Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary. His campaign mixed progressive policies with a citywide grassroots push that went viral online. In the same clip, Sneako turned his attention toward Elon Musk, telling the billionaire entrepreneur to “go back to South Africa.” His comments came after Musk had weighed in on New York’s local election online.“But Elon Musk, why are you talking about a New York City election?” Sneako said. “You’re South African. You don’t even live in New York. You have no ties here. Why are you trying to influence the election of a city you have no involvement in?”Sneako further suggested Musk’s criticism of Mamdani could be unfairly motivated. “Is it because he’s Muslim?” he asked rhetorically, pointing out that Mamdani, who was born in Uganda to Indian and Ugandan parents, shares African roots with Musk. “He’s your fellow African,” Sneako added. “You’re from South Africa and you’re trying to influence this election.”Zohran Mamdani’s win marked a milestone in New York City politics. The 34-year-old’s victory over Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa made him not only the city’s first Muslim mayor but also one of its youngest ever.
