Cody “WhistlinDiesel,” a very popular YouTuber, says he was arrested for tax evasion because he did not pay sales tax on his $400,000 Ferrari F8. He told this in a new video on November 23, 2025, on his YouTube channel. The video is titled I Got Arrested for “Tax Evasion.” In the video, at the 10-minute-52-second mark, he says he owed about $30,000 in sales tax for the Ferrari. He also says the car is not even alive anymore, because it burned and got smashed into a cube. He says the Ferrari got destroyed in August 2023 after he drove it through a cornfield. Cody says he never got any letter or notice saying he must pay this tax. He says the car was titled in Montana, where people do not pay sales tax when a business owns the car. Cody says many luxury car owners do the same thing.

Why Cody “WhistlinDiesel” says he was arrested for not paying sales tax on his Ferrari F8

At 10:52 in the video, Cody “WhistlinDiesel” explains that the Ferrari F8 was titled and registered in Montana. He says Montana does not ask for sales tax if a business owns the car. Cody says many luxury car owners use Montana because it helps them save money on tax. He says that “85% of luxury car owners” have a business in Montana to hold their cars. He says the Ferrari had a clean Montana title and that he thought this was normal because many other people also do it.

Cody also says the Ferrari caught fire in Texas, not in Tennessee. So he was surprised when he was told he owed tax in Tennessee. He says the car “does not exist” anymore because it burned and then was crushed into a cube.At the 15-minute mark of the video, WhistlinDiesel says he believes the officers “went after him” because he is a big name online. He says they thought arresting him would scare other car owners who also use Montana registration. He says the officers wanted people to switch their car papers back to their home states and pay the tax there.WhistlinDiesel says he has a wife and kids, and the arrest scared him. He says he does not want to go to prison. He also says he now wants to buy land in Montana so he can build his business there and avoid problems like this in the future. Also Read: Is Laura Loomer Pregnant With Ian Miles Cheong’s Child?
