Puma has appointed Ramprasad Sridharan as managing director of Puma India, effective December 2025, the company announced in a media release on Wednesday.
He will report to Matthias Bäumer, the company’s chief commercial officer.
Sridharan brings over 25 years of experience in brand building and commercial strategy across the Asia-Pacific region. He most recently served as CEO and managing director of United Colors of Benetton India, where he led transformation initiatives. Prior to that, he held senior leadership roles at Clarks and Reebok India.
“Ram is a highly experienced leader with a strong track record in the fashion and footwear industry,” Bäumer said, adding that Sridharan’s retail expertise would support Puma’s growth in India, one of its key markets.
Sridharan succeeds Karthik Balagopalan, who has left the company to pursue other interests. Bäumer thanked Balagopalan for his two decades of service at Puma.
