‘No Moral Standing’: India Slams Pakistan’s Rant On Ayodhya Event, Calls Out Bigotry And Repression

A fresh diplomatic clash erupted after Pakistan objected to the Ram Temple flag-hoisting ceremony, prompting a fierce response from India. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal condemned Pakistan’s criticism, pointing to its own history of minority persecution, temple destruction, and institutionalised bigotry. He said Pakistan’s remarks were rejected with “the contempt they deserve,” stressing that the country had no moral right to comment on India’s religious freedoms. New Delhi emphasised that Pakistan should focus on its deteriorating human rights environment instead of attempting to manufacture controversy around India’s cultural revival. The MEA’s strong statement comes amid Pakistan’s attempt to frame the Ayodhya ceremony as part of a so-called pressure campaign on minorities, claims India dismissed as hypocritical and politically motivated. The exchange further widens the gulf between the neighbours at a time of heightened tensions.
