Keith Castillo, who is known online as PovWolfy, is a social media creator who went viral for a very strange stunt. In his videos, he was seen handing machetes, booze, and cigarettes to homeless people. These clips spread fast on TikTok and Instagram, but they also brought huge anger from people online. Many viewers asked if what he was doing was even legal, and some said he was putting others in danger.According to The New York Post, Keith Castillo, who is from Corpus Christi, Texas, walked up to homeless people in different cities and asked, “Here, want one of these?” while holding out an 18-inch machete. The videos were shot in places like Austin, New Orleans, and Little Rock. The New York Post also spoke to experts and shared what police and the public had to say. Many people felt the stunt was unsafe, unkind, and harmful, and they worried someone could get hurt because of it.Keith Castillo, also called PovWolfy, faces backlash after viral machete and booze stuntKeith Castillo has over 53,000 followers on Instagram and more than 397,800 followers on TikTok. His videos often show him giving homeless people alcohol or cigarettes. But this time, what shocked people the most was the machete giveaway. Viewers rushed to the comments and asked how this could be allowed. Some users wrote that if someone used the machete to commit a crime, Castillo might get in trouble for giving it to them. Others said the stunt made fun of the homeless and treated them in a cruel way.A user asked, “You know if they commit a crime with it, you’re getting charged?” Another said, “How can people find this funny?” Someone else wrote, “Isn’t he responsible if something bad happens now?”The New York Post also spoke to Joseph Giacalone, a retired NYPD sergeant and professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He explained that having a machete is not illegal, but he also said the mix of “alcohol and machetes” sounded like a “cocktail for disaster.” He called the stunt “dumb” and “dangerous.”When the Post asked Castillo why he gives alcohol to people who may already be struggling with addiction, he said, “Honestly I really don’t care bro, it’s good for the clicks and views.” He also claimed the machetes were “tool items” and denied that the homeless people planned to hurt anyone with them.Keith Castillo told The New York Post that he plans to make more videos like this in Las Vegas and LA’s Skid Row. He also said he wants to come to New York City in January to hand out more machetes and alcohol there. Also Read: Candace Owens And Charlie Kirk Controversy Explained: Inside Her Statements On Erika Kirk, Emmanuel Macron And Mystery Around His Death
