India Counters Pakistan At UN On Operation Sindoor, Says Islamabad Pleaded For Ceasefire
At the UN Security Council, India forcefully called out Pakistan for spreading what it described as blatant lies on Operation Sindoor. India’s envoy Parvathaneni Harish reminded the world that Pakistan-backed terrorists massacred 26 civilians in Pahalgam, and that India’s military response was precise, restrained and aimed only at terror infrastructure. Rejecting Islamabad’s claim of success, Harish pointed to publicly available evidence of damaged Pakistani air bases and destroyed runways. He disclosed that Pakistan’s military itself sought a halt to hostilities after facing India’s response. India also pushed back against Pakistan’s attempt to project terrorism as a “new normal”, warning that such thinking must never be accepted. On Kashmir, India reiterated that the region is and will always remain an integral part of the country. Addressing the Indus Waters Treaty, New Delhi said patience ran out after decades of terror and wars sponsored by Pakistan. India’s message at the UN was clear, calm and resolute: terror cannot be rewarded with narratives, and lies cannot mask reality.
