The last rites of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar are set to be performed today, Thursday, at around 11 A.M., at Vidya Pratishthan Grounds in Baramati.
Meanwhile, his mortal remains will be kept at his residence in Katewadi, Baramati. Thereafter, it will be taken by ambulance to the G.D. Madgulkar Auditorium.
The funeral procession will begin from there at 9 A.M., culminating at the Vidya Pratishthan Grounds.
Pawar, the longest-serving Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and senior NCP leader, died in a tragic plane crash in Baramati on Wednesday. The NCP leader, 66, was among five people killed when a chartered Learjet 45, operated by Delhi-based VSR Ventures, burst into flames while attempting to land in poor visibility at Baramati Airport.
