Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Thursday shared a video from inside the Chamber of the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, alleging that a large group of Congress MPs abused him and threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the face-off between the Opposition and the government in Parliament on February 4.
The video shows women MPs belonging to the Congress party inside the Lok Sabha Speaker’s Chamber, where they can be seen arguing with the BJP ministers.
Sharing the video clip, Rijiju took to X and wrote, “This is the illegal video clip taken by a Congress MP when 20-25 Congress MPs entered the Chamber of Hon’ble Speaker, abused him and threatened Honb’le Prime Minister.”
Rijiju further accused the Congress of encouraging its MPs to threaten the Prime Minister of the country. “Our party believes in debate & discussion and never encourage MPs to threaten physically,” he added in the post on social media.

This video came after Rijiju on Tuesday shared a video of Congress MPs staging an aggressive protest inside the Lok Sabha, which led to high drama and the eventual adjournment of proceedings.
The visuals from inside the Lok Sabha showed the February 4 drama when women Congress MPs gathered near the seat of Prime Minister Modi only minutes before he was scheduled to deliver his speech.
The women MPs of Congress assembled near the Prime Minister’s seat, with a massive banner with the text “Jo uchit samjho, wahin caro (Do what you think is best).
Congress Party is proud of the most degrading behavior by their MPs !! If we had not stopped all BJP MPs and allowed the Women MPs to confront Cong. MPs, it would have led to very ugly scene. We have very high consideration, to protect the dignity & sanctity of the Parliament. https://t.co/tRj5HjLKFH pic.twitter.com/aTmktk4Y7E— Kiren Rijiju (@KirenRijiju) February 10, 2026
Notably, the text on the banner they were holding was in reference to a sentence from an article based on General (Retd.) MM Naravane’s unpublished book ‘Four Stars of Destiny’. The memoir, which was mentioned by Rahul Gandhi in Parliament last week, stirred a massive controversy and led to a political battle between the Congress and the BJP.
The incident took place last week after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was disallowed from quoting an unpublished memoir by former Army Chief General MM Naravane on the 2020 India-China standoff.
