Lab-grown diamond jewellery brand Ekatra Jewels has raised Rs 10 crore at a Rs 100 crore valuation, just 100 days after launch. The company had previously invested Rs 10 crore of founder capital over two years of pre-launch R&D.

Founded by Pavitra Gandhi, Ekatra has brought on Ekta Kapoor and Sussanne Khan as co-founders, with Sussanne also serving as co-founder and design director.

The brand follows a vertically integrated “farm-to-finger” model, growing and cutting its own Type IIa lab-grown diamonds and developing proprietary hollow-gold technology. It also holds four patented diamond cuts, including the 108-facet Shristi Ratna™.

The company is using hollow-gold engineering to create large, statement-style jewellery with significantly less gold, a proposition it believes is particularly relevant as gold prices remain at record highs.

Its newly launched OH MY GOLD collection by Sussanne Khan is the first major expression of this approach, combining real gold, lab-grown diamonds and lightweight construction.

The Rs 10 crore investment will support brand building, retail expansion and product innovation across India and international markets. With 5,000+ designs developed for India, the US and Middle East, Ekatra aims to build a globally relevant luxury jewellery brand from India.
