Indian fashion brand Libas has entered the jewellery category with a portfolio of more than 100 styles, as it looks to expand its business beyond apparel and build a broader fashion and lifestyle portfolio.
The new collection is priced between Rs 399 and Rs 1,299 and includes jewellery sets, mangalsutras, necklaces and chains, bangles and earrings. The portfolio targets festive and wedding consumption and includes gold-plated, silver-plated and oxidised jewellery with an anti-tarnish finish.
The jewellery range is currently available through Libas’ website, app and leading marketplaces. The company plans to subsequently introduce the category across its exclusive brand outlets (EBOs), allowing it to use its existing digital distribution before expanding into physical retail.
The move follows Libas’ recent entry into fragrances and forms part of its strategy to add categories adjacent to its core fashion business. According to founder and CEO Sidhant Keshwani, the jewellery foray is aimed at expanding Libas’ participation across fashion and occasion-led consumer spending while building additional businesses that can scale over the long term.
