Rahul Climbs Barricade, Enters Akashvani Bhawan With Priyanka During EC March Against Gyanesh Kumar
INDIA bloc MPs staged a protest march from Parliament towards the Election Commission headquarters in Delhi, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in electoral roll revision. The march was stopped by police on Parliament Street, leading to dramatic scenes and the detention of several Opposition leaders. Rahul Gandhi climbed a police barricade and waved the National Flag, while he and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were later seen inside Akashvani Bhawan premises. Priyanka Gandhi was briefly detained and released. Akhilesh Yadav, Derek O’Brien, Abhishek Banerjee, Raja Ram Singh and other Opposition MPs were also detained and taken away in buses.
