Strokes by Namrata Mehta, an Indian lifestyle brand specialising in bags and accessories, has raised Rs 3.3 crore from actor and investor Shriyam Bhagnani. The funds will be used to strengthen operations, expand the brand’s presence and scale its business across India.
Founded in 2020 by Namrata Mehta, the brand sells handbags, totes, work bags and slings through its direct-to-consumer website, online marketplaces and offline retail outlets. It follows a cruelty-free approach and contributes a portion of its website sales towards feeding and providing medical care for stray animals.
The investment comes as the company looks to expand its product portfolio and strengthen its distribution. Deepak Bhagnani Family Office is also associated with the investment, with Deepak Bhagnani citing the brand’s product offering and potential to expand its market presence.
Strokes plans to build on its existing operations as it scales across India’s consumer lifestyle market. The company has not disclosed its valuation or specific financial targets following the fundraise.
