Gareth Batty Set To Join Zaheer Khan’s Team
CSK have also moved to strengthen their new coaching structure by bringing in Gareth Batty from Surrey County Cricket Club. The former off-spinner, who guided Surrey to three titles, is expected to serve as an assistant coach under Zaheer.
“The new journey is a very exciting one for my family and I with CSK in the IPL and I’m looking forward to getting going,” Batty said in a statement released by Surrey.
IPL 2027 Preparation Behind CSK Changes
The coaching reshuffle suggests that Zaheer wants to establish his own approach before the next IPL campaign. New head coaches often prefer working with people they trust as they introduce fresh methods and build their preferred team environment.
With the IPL 2027 auction approaching, CSK’s attention will now turn to completing the support staff changes and preparing a squad capable of delivering better results in the upcoming season.
