Ghose criticised Rijiju’s role as the Parliamentary Affairs Minister, stating that it is his duty to ensure the smooth functioning of parliamentary proceedings.

“But we are watching that he is constantly insulting the Opposition…He is misusing his position to insult the Opposition,” she added.
As part of the motion, Ghose further demanded an apology from the BJP leader.
A source told the news agency PTI that the privilege motion notice has been signed by 60 leaders from Opposition parties.
The notice was submitted a day after Rijiju criticised Opposition MPs, calling them “not worthy of being in the House” in response to their attacks on Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar.
He further stated, “If you cannot respect the chair you have no right to be a member of this House.”
On Tuesday, sixty MPs from the opposition INDIA bloc filed a notice in the Rajya Sabha for a no-confidence motion against Dhankhar. They accused him of being “extremely partisan” in his role as the Chairman of the Upper House.
