Cometh the hour, cometh the man—IANS Sports Editor Chetan Sharma rose to the occasion with a match-turning performance that helped the Delhi Sports Journalists Association (DSJA) secure a memorable victory over the Organising Committee XI in the prestigious Goswami Ganesh Dutt annual encounter.

With DSJA struggling at 30/1 after five overs, Chetan walked in and shifted the momentum dramatically. He smashed five boundaries in a single over, injecting life into what had been a slow start. His explosive innings not only accelerated the run rate but also electrified the atmosphere, drawing applause from every corner of the ground.
Capitalizing on the platform laid by Chetan, the trio of Akash Rawal (44), Lokesh Sharma (43), and Amit Chaudhary (56) carried the momentum forward, guiding the Abhishek Tripathi-led side to a formidable total of 209 in their allotted 20 overs.
In response, the Organising Committee XI began positively, with Vikas Katyal leading a determined charge. However, tight bowling and sharp fielding from DSJA soon turned the tide. Just when a batter threatened to take the game away with some big hits, it was Chetan Sharma again—this time behind the stumps—who showcased his wicketkeeping prowess with a timely stumping that halted the opposition’s charge.
