FBI Director Kash Patel is considering resigning, according to a report by The Daily Wire, in a deepening dispute within the Justice Department over the handling of documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.“Source close to DOJ says Kash Patel also wants Pam Bondi gone, and that he’d consider leaving if Bongino leaves. He is said to be frustrated that Bondi has not unsealed more records related to the case and has told associates he wants her removed from her position.According to The Daily Wire, Patel is prepared to leave the FBI if Bongino resigns. Patel has publicly stated that the FBI’s review of evidence showed that Epstein was not murdered, pushing back against conspiracy theories about Epstein’s 2019 death in jail.The controversy erupted after the FBI and DOJ issued a joint memo declaring the Epstein case officially closed, stating he died by suicide and there was no evidence of homicide.
