New Delhi: The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has announced the launch of SAJEX – The Saudi Arabia Jewellery Exposition as part of its efforts to tap into the Kingdom’s expanding jewellery market, it said in a press release on Monday.

According to the company, it is scheduled to be held from 11 to 13 September 2025 at the Jeddah Superdome, SAJEX will be the first dedicated B2B gem and jewellery trade show in Saudi Arabia.

Backed by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, and supported by Indian diplomatic missions in Riyadh and Jeddah, the initiative is aimed at strengthening India’s jewellery exports to the region. Curtain-raiser events held in Jeddah and Riyadh earlier this month drew participation from over 280 Saudi retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers.

The launch comes amid projections that Saudi Arabia’s jewellery market will grow from USD 4.56 billion in 2024 to USD 8.34 billion by 2030. GJEPC, which currently exports USD 32 billion worth of gems and jewellery annually, is looking to scale its presence in high-growth markets.

“The Kingdom, with its evolving luxury retail ecosystem, young consumers, and strong appetite for design-led gold and diamond jewellery, presents an exciting frontier for Indian manufacturers. With India as a leading global supplier of gems and jewellery, exporting USD 32 billion annually, and Saudi Arabia’s jewellery market projected to nearly double to USD 8.34 billion by 2030, this partnership is set to reshape the industry and set new benchmarks for collaboration, innovation, and growth across the region and beyond,” said Kirit Bhansali, Chairman, GJEPC.
