New York State Police said they received a call from a man who said his nine-year-old daughter was missing, possibly due to an abduction. The call was received Saturday just before 10 pm ET. The investigation started as that of an abduction, with the cops working on the statement of the father but as the case progressed, officers found out glaring inconsistencies in the father’s accounts of the events and the timeline. The State Police issued an Amber Alert, a bulletin for a missing or endangered child, and warned that “the child was taken under circumstances that lead police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious bodily harm and/or death.”Police said with the help of several local agencies, Melina was found dead on Sunday in Ticonderoga, about 50 kilometres east of Lake George near the New York-Vermont border.Police said there is no indication of an abduction.

Who is Luciano Frattolin?

A 45-year-old small business owner from Montreal, Canada, Frattolin runs a coffee company called Gambella Coffee. He is now a prime suspect in the mysterious disappearance and death of his 9-year-old daughter. The website of Gambella Coffee has a detailed biography of Luciano. “Luciano Frattolin is an experienced entrepreneur with a proven track record of building diverse, high-performance businesses . With a background in the humanities and social sciences, his formal education, together with his pragmatic understanding about the complexities of life, motivates him to maintain an understanding of the world grounded in a distinct cross-cultural ethos,” it said. “The son of an Ethiopian mother and an Italian father, Luciano was born in the small, remote village of Gambella. With a childhood spent running between rows of crimson coffee buds on the Ethiopian family plantation, and the neoclassical architecture of his father’s Milano, his vision of the world and his pursuits within, reflect these hyphenated cultures,” it added.
