Coldplay scandal: HR chief Kristin Cabot's husband was on a business trip in Japan; marriage troubles for months
Astronomer HR chief Kristin Cabot’s husband was on a business trip in Japan when the Coldplay video went viral, a New York Post report claimed.

Andrew Cabot, the husband of Kristin Cabot who was seen in the embrace of former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron in a Coldplay concert, was on a business trip in Japan when his wife went viral, the New York Post reported, citing an insider. The viral video of Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot turned their world upside down with Kristin Cabot lying low, Andy Byron resigning from Astronomer — the company where they worked together. Their personal lives are being discussed threadbare as they have become the latest meme.“Poor guy,” the insider referred to Andrew Cabot who is the CEO of Privateer Rum as he was blindsided by his wife’s extramarital affair like Andy Byron’s wife Megan Kerrigan. The report said Andrew Cabot was in Japan on a work trip and returned Saturday while all this went down. “The family is now saying they have been having marriage troubles for several months and were discussing separating — which I find interesting since as of a month ago they were saying how in love they are,” the source told the New York Post.

Who is Andrew Cabot, a descendant of ‘Boston Brahmin‘ clans?

Andrew Cabot is Kristin’s second husband and they probably met at work as Kristin served as an advisory board member of Privateer Rum, since September 2020. At that time, Kristin was married to her previous husband. Just five months ago, the Cabots purchased a $2.2 million mansion in Rye, New Hampshire. In a Facebook post from May 2024, the Cabots were seen smiling and posing as a happy family with two young kids. Andrew Cabot is a member of one of the oldest and wealthiest families in Boston. The Cabots are one of the original “Boston Brahmin” clans that controlled New England for centuries.Kristin Cabot has not issued any statement, neither has she resigned from her post. But she has been placed on leave as Astronomer investigates the incident.
