'There's a line in the sand': Joe Rogan says Trump admin 'gaslighting' supporters - Epstein case

Podcaster Joe Rogan has taken aim at former ally Donald Trump, accusing him of “gaslighting” his supporters over how his administration handled information linked to convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. “There’s a line in the sand,” Rogan said on a recent episode of his podcast. “This one’s a line in the sand, because this is one where there’s a lot of stuff about, you know, when we thought Trump was going to come in and a lot of things are going to be resolved, going to drain the swamp, going to figure everything out, and when you have this one hardcore line in the sand that everybody had been talking about forever, and then they’re trying to gaslight you on that.” Trump has denied any involvement with Epstein after facing backlash from his own base. Earlier this month, his administration released a memo dismissing conspiracy theories about Epstein’s death in 2019, claiming no “client list” existed and stating that no further information would be released, The Hill reported. The so-called “Epstein files” have long fueled speculation among conspiracy theorists, especially within right-wing circles. Rogan, who had strongly backed Trump during the 2024 election, hosting him for a lengthy podcast interview just days before the vote and endorsing him ahead of his victory, is now among several conservative media figures criticising Trump’s handling of the issue. The backlash also includes billionaire Elon Musk, who has publicly clashed with Trump and alleged that the US President was named in the files.
