Last seen at Burger King: Four Indian-origin family members missing in US; were en route to temple

Four members of an Indian-origin family have gone missing in the United States while travelling from Buffalo to Pittsburgh earlier this week, prompting authorities to initiate a search operation.According to police officials, Asha Divan, Kishore Divan, Shailesh Divan, and Gita Divan were en route to Pittsburgh and planned to continue to Moundsville, West Virginia, where they had prepaid for lodging at Prabhupada’s Palace of Gold for Tuesday night.Marshall County detectives said the group never checked in and their cell phones have gone unanswered since Tuesday.A search and rescue helicopter was deployed on Friday to search along their expected route, but no sign of the group or their vehicle has been found.Last seen at Burger KingAccording to a WTRF.com report, the group was last seen on Tuesday after making a stop at a Burger King on Peach Street in Erie, Pennsylvania.CCTV footage from the restaurant shows two of them entering the building. The last known credit card transaction was also made there. The group was traveling in a light green Toyota Camry with New York license plates.According to the report, the only potential signs of movement came early Wednesday, when signals from their cell phones were recorded in both Moundsville and Wheeling around 3am.A missing persons report was filed in Buffalo, New York, and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office is now working with authorities there as part of the ongoing investigation.Detectives believe the group may be lost and are urging anyone who has seen the vehicle or the family to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.Meanwhile, photos of the missing individuals, vehicle, and the surveillance footage from Burger King have been shared publicly.
