As part of ongoing leadership engagements in Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum held two key meetings, first with local dignitaries, investors, and senior officials at Union House’s Al Mudaif Majlis, followed by a meeting with Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other federal leaders at Al Marmoom. These discussions reflect the continued focus on national development and economic progress.

In a high-level meeting held at Al Marmoom in Dubai on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, met with His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. The meeting was also attended by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.The leaders held in-depth discussions on key national priorities, with a shared focus on strategies to drive forward the UAE’s development agenda. Emphasising the country’s unified approach, they explored ways to enhance the nation’s leadership across various sectors and to improve the overall quality of life for all citizens.His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid reaffirmed the collective responsibility of the country’s leadership in safeguarding the UAE’s achievements while working toward a prosperous future. He stated that the nation continues to progress under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.He underlined the importance of synchronising efforts and unifying capabilities to ensure effective advancement toward national objectives, stating the necessity of aligning all initiatives with the UAE’s long-term development vision.The discussions included a review of current government initiatives and strategic projects. The focus was directed at enhancing public services and reinforcing support for various segments of Emirati society. The meeting covered an array of topics linked to government operations, institutional coordination, and future policy frameworks.

Earlier that day, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in a separate gathering, met with local dignitaries, investors, ministers, and leaders from public, semi-government, and private sector entities at Al Mudaif Majlis in Union House, Dubai.

The gathering reflected Sheikh Mohammed’s ongoing commitment to maintaining open dialogue with the community and fostering collaboration between government and society. The forum served as a platform to discuss opportunities for growth, enhance public-private partnerships, and strengthen economic development.Addressing the attendees, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the UAE’s sustained progress in building a distinctive development model. He pointed out that this model is “based on openness, competitiveness, and support for entrepreneurship.” He continued, “The country’s success stems from ambitious goals, a people-centred approach, and strong public-private partnerships.”Reflecting on the UAE’s journey over the past decades, he said the achievements are the outcome of “a clear vision driven by planning, determination, and collaboration.”He reiterated the UAE’s long-standing commitment to inclusion and opportunity, emphasizing that the country remains dedicated to being “a land of opportunity, a hub for prosperity, and a welcoming home for all those who contribute to its growth.” He also highlighted that the nation’s economy is founded on trust, with its success driven by collaboration and a bold, forward-looking vision. Sheikh Mohammed further noted that at every stage, the UAE has set new benchmarks for progress, establishing a model economy rooted in innovation.Highlighting Dubai’s role in this national journey, Sheikh Mohammed noted the emirate’s growing global status, crediting its success to effective strategies, infrastructure, and cooperation across sectors. Dubai’s progress, he added, is closely aligned with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, an ambitious plan focused on economic diversification, investor confidence, and talent attraction.

Spotlight on wealth, tourism, and innovation

The meeting also featured a lecture titled “The UAE as a Destination for the World’s Wealthy”, delivered by Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing.Kazim presented data indicating the UAE’s rising appeal among high-net-worth individuals. He shared that:

  • Over 131,000 wealthy individuals had settled in the UAE by 2024, an increase from 116,000 in 2023
  • That number is projected to rise further in 2025.

He noted that Dubai’s attractiveness stems from factors such as safety, infrastructure, high quality of life, and an open, pro-business environment.“Driven by visionary leadership, Dubai welcomed 9.88 million visitors in the first half of 2025 and is now seen as the world’s top destination to live, work, and visit.”Kazim also highlighted how the UAE’s tourism strategy is actively reinforcing the broader goals of the D33 agenda and positioning Dubai as a global economic and lifestyle hub.Further emphasising Dubai’s innovation ecosystem, the gathering included a live demonstration by Dubai Future Labs of the Unitree G1 robot, a lightweight, highly balanced humanoid machine that mimics natural human movement. The robot is part of the upcoming interactive exhibitions at the Museum of the Future, where it will engage with visitors and showcase cutting-edge robotics and artificial intelligence. The demonstration symbolised Dubai’s continued commitment to technological advancement and innovation that directly benefits society.
