What started as a tranquil afternoon on a New York beach spiralled into a heated altercation after a Palestinian woman confronted a former Israeli soldier after noticing his Star of David necklaceIn the encounter, documented and shared by ILTV Israel News, the activist questioned the man and his companions, the New York Post reported.The footage showed the activist approaching three people relaxing on beach towels, accusing one of committing war crimes.“You went to Gaza, right? You fought children? You killed children in Gaza?” she asked.One of the person confirmed his IDF service and deployment in Gaza.His female companion interjected, “He went to Gaza to help all the children that your people killed.” As the activist continues filming and shouting, one man attempts to defuse the situation. “So if you want to see a picture of [my brother] over there right now, I can show you what’s going on.”The lady then demanded to see the evidence, shouting, “Please show me a picture of your brother in Gaza, please do. Please. The world wants to see your faces. The world does want to see your faces!”When questioned about his military service, he responds with a smile, “I’m proud of serving my country.” The man mentioned the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack, which resulted in over 1,200 Israeli casualties and numerous hostages.When invited to have a dialogue, she refused. Upon being asked about visiting Gaza, she responded, “I cannot go to Gaza. Your people are not letting me.”He pointed out, “If you go there right now, dressed like that, they’ll slaughter you,” referring to her beachwear.A lifeguard intervened to mediate after she claims the Israelis insulted her and identifid them as IDF soldiers who “killed people in Gaza.”“Why would I want to talk to your guys? You guys have killed my people! You’re killing children,” she exclaimed. The encounter concluded with her departing while shouting, “Free Palestine!”
