Cairo is opening its doors wider to its global citizens. Prime Minister Mostafa Kamal Madbouly has announced the launch of the second phase of the “Your Home in Egypt” initiative, an ambitious real-estate programme offering around 3,000 housing, commercial, and administrative units to Egyptians living abroad. The opportunity spans promising new cities like New Cairo, New Alamein, Minya, Mansoura, and Damietta, with user-friendly terms and attractive incentives aiming to bridge expat dreams and national growth. Locations range from New Cairo to New Damietta, with options for middle- to high-income housing, along with commercial and administrative units for varied expat needs

Prime Minister Madbouly emphasized that the initiative responds directly to expat demands raised during the “Conference of Egyptians Living Abroad” and reflects broader directives from President Sisi to boost expat engagement in national development.To make returning or investing from abroad easier, the initiative offers:

  • Payment plans spanning up to 10 years
  • Discounts up to 7%

This mirrors the government’s broader strategy to appeal to expatriates as key players in Egypt’s socio-economic progressAlongside expat-targeted schemes, Egypt continues expanding housing access domestically. The “Housing for All Egyptians 7” campaign has extended its application deadline to September 14, addressing low-income needs nationwide. At the same time, the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) is rolling out more residential land offerings to meet the rising demand in new cities, enabling citizens to build homes legally and sustainably. Egypt’s second phase of the “Your Home in Egypt” initiative marks a meaningful step toward engaging its diaspora, offering not just properties but also flexibility, incentives, and a chance to be part of national progress.
