Hollywood actress Amy Schumer has announced that she is divorcing her husband, chef Chris Fischer, after seven years of marriage. The actor and comedian took to her social media handle to share the news in an Instagram post. While sharing a happy photo with her estranged husband, the actress, in her note, insisted that the decision to end the marriage was ‘amicable’ and revealed that they would continue to co-parent their son.

“Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years,” she announced and went on to write, “We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time.”Schumer went on to share that the reason behind the sudden split was, “not because I dropped some lbs and thought I could bag s basket and not because he’s a hot Janlmes beard award winning chef who can still pull some hot tail. Amicable and all love and respect!”Schumer also posted a photo of herself sitting with Fischer smiling while riding the New York City subway together. “Family forever,” she concluded the post.

News of the divorce comes just weeks after Amy sparked a wave of social media buzz by removing all photos of Fischer from her Instagram account and only leaving behind a handful of photos. At the time, the actress attempted to rubbish rumours by posting on her Instagram Stories, “And Chris and I are still married.” In another message, she wrote, “Whatever ends up happening with me and Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism. Fingers crossed we make it through. He’s the best.”
