Barron Trump was seen strolling through New York University’s campus on Tuesday, marking his first public appearance at the school since his father, President Donald Trump, was inaugurated for a second term on Jan 20, according to the New York Post.
The 18-year-old, dressed in a cream-coloured sweater over a white polo shirt with black jeans and sneakers, arrived on campus from Trump Tower in a five-SUV motorcade, accompanied by Secret Service and NYPD security, according to Page Six.
A business major at NYU’s Stern School of Business, Barron officially started college in September 2024 after graduating from Florida’s Oxbridge Academy. However, he seemingly missed the first few weeks of classes this semester due to his father’s inauguration, reported the New York Post.
His mother, US first lady Melania Trump, previously shared on Fox News’ “The Five” that Barron enjoys his studies and has a great relationship with his professors. However, his time at NYU has been anything but normal due to his father’s political status.
Beyond academics, Barron is already eyeing a career in real estate, following in his father’s footsteps. He has co-founded Trump, Fulcher & Roxburgh Capital Inc., a luxury real estate investment firm, alongside Cameron Roxburgh and another business partner. The firm is focused on high-end properties, including golf courses in Arizona, Idaho, and Utah, and is registered at Mar-a-Lago as its principal address.
Barron’s most recent public appearance before returning to NYU was at his father’s presidential inauguration in Washington, DC, where he was seen alongside his half-siblings—Donald Trump Jr, Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, and Tiffany Trump.
Towering over his family at 6-foot-7, he wore a classic navy suit and was caught playfully photobombing his half-sisters and sister-in-law, Lara Trump, in a lighthearted moment captured by Washington Post reporter Emily Davies.
Despite his reserved public persona, those who know Barron describe him as witty and engaging. His tailor, Nathan Pearce, recently shared that Barron has a “dry sense of humour” and is “super bright” with an impressive knowledge of history and current affairs. Pearce also called him “hospitable, down-to-earth, and hilarious”, adding that he has enjoyed getting to know the youngest Trump over the past couple of years, according to fashion journal Women’s Wear Daily.
