If there is one state where the BJP is leaving nothing to chance this election season, it is Bihar. The party’s central and state leadership has drawn up a meticulous deployment plan, covering everything from booth-level operations to parliamentary constituency management, signalling a full-scale campaign push.

Union Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and party workers have been assigned specific roles, while reinforcements are being sent from states including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Delhi. Gujarat alone is expected to deploy around 1,000 leaders and workers to strengthen the party’s ground presence.

Nearly 50 senior leaders have already been stationed in Bihar for the past month, and the remaining teams are expected to arrive within the next week to ten days. Once deployed, they will stay in the state until polling day, with no breaks, including Diwali.

The organisational structure ensures that each mandal and district reports to a parliamentary constituency in-charge, who in turn coordinates with central election managers. Among those leading the effort on the ground are Union Ministers Harsh Malhotra and Pankaj Chaudhary, MPs Bhola Singh, B.D. Sharma, Satish Gautam, Kamaljeet Sherawat, and former MP Ramesh Biduri. Other senior leaders from Madhya Pradesh, including B.D. Sharma, Anil Firojia, and Vishwas Sarangi, are also actively involved.

Key constituency assignments include Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary overseeing West Champaran, while Rajkumar Chahar takes Sheohar, Mohit Benival handles Kishanganj, Upendra Tiwari manages Darbhanga, Sangam Lal Gupta is assigned Muzaffarpur, and Vinod Sonkar heads Siwan. Rekha Verma will oversee Patna Sahib, and Subrat Pathak has been given Ujiarpur. In western Bihar, Satish Gautam will manage Buxar, Satish Dwivedi looks after Hajipur, Satish Sharma handles Karakat, Raghav Lakhanpal is responsible for Jehanabad, and Mahesh Sharma takes Aurangabad. From the Mithilanchal region, Dr. Bhola Singh is in charge of Madhubani, Sanjay Gangwar of Jhanjharpur, and Shalabh Mani Tripathi, MLA from Deoria Sadar, will manage Jamui. Known for his sharp tongue and outspoken remarks, Ramesh Bidhuri has been deployed in the crucial Seemanchal region, overseeing Purnea.

These teams on the ground are working at the most basic level, strengthening the booth, infusing the cadre with renewed energy, and mobilising support. These leaders have not been deployed to merely give speeches or even conduct rallies themselves. The actual workforce multiplier on the ground speaks of how they will be on the task for all 243 seats.

On the central coordination front, BJP election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan has been tasked with overseeing 14 Lok Sabha constituencies covering 87 Assembly seats, while C.R. Patil and Keshav Prasad Maurya will each manage 13 Lok Sabha constituencies, covering 78 Assembly seats apiece. Patil’s constituencies include Katihar, Purnea, Araria, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Munger, Kishanganj, Samastipur, Madhepura, Jamui, Supaul, Nawada, and Khagaria, while Maurya’s include East Champaran, West Champaran, Sheohar, Saran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Maharajganj, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Vaishali, Buxar, and Valmikinagar.

The message from the top is unmistakable — Bihar is the next major electoral battleground, and every booth, every constituency, and every party worker counts in the saffron party’s full-scale push to consolidate its presence in the state.
