The festive season has taken a new turn as a vehicle adorned with Christmas illuminations but caught unwanted police attention.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol shared an Instagram image featuring a Ford Mustang decorated with colourful Christmas bulbs.
“As the holiday season approaches, we would like to remind you of a Wyoming statue [sic],” the post reads, “no person shall drive or move any vehicle or equipment upon any highway with a lamp or device theron capable of displaying a red or blue light visible from directly in front of center or thereof.”
The law specifically permits white Christmas lights on vehicles, as they are not explicitly prohibited.
Law enforcement cautioned that whilst festive vehicle decorations might appear attractive, they remain unlawful and could pose a hazardous distraction to other drivers.
The consequences faced by the driver of the illuminated Mustang remain undisclosed. But this is not the only car that has been illuminated with Christmas lights.
Several people on X shared the video of christmas illuminated car as the festive season is cominh. One of the users said, “The holiday season is coming, and even cars are decorated as “light-up cars”! It’s so festive! I spotted this today in the parking lot. “
“IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE ‘CYBERMAS’ A row of Cybertrucks, decked out in festive Christmas lights, sits gleaming in the snow. The holiday spirit is actually futuristic with the @Tesla touch!” another user said.
