A while ago, Amaal Mallik left everyone shocked as he announced that he has cut ties with his family. The music composer later joined ‘Bigg Boss 19‘ and was seen opening up on his post on the show. He was seen talking to Zeishan Quadri in an episode, “Maine ek post daali thi internet par ki main depression main tha, family se ties cut karliye shayad isliye hi bula liya mereko. Ek identity crisis mehsoos hui. Gaane sab main bana raha tha lekin koi mujhe puch nahi raha tha. Apna chota (Armaan Mallik) toh apne bete jaisa hai, uss se koi aisa feeling nahi hai. Mujhe Armaan ne yeh feel bhi nahi karvaya ke ‘main star hu, tu nahi hai (I had put up a post on the internet saying that I was in depression and had cut ties with my family, maybe that’s why they called me. I was going through an identity crisis. I was making all the songs, but no one was asking about me. My younger one, Armaan Malik, is like my son, so there’s no such feeling with him. In fact, Armaan never made me feel like, ‘I am the star and you’re not’).”Meanwhile, now just as his son is in the Bigg Boss house, Daboo Mallik has shared a video of him singing and dedicated the song to his son Amaal. He wrote, “Saamna Jab Hua … Saare Ilzam Sar Aankhon Pe… Even my retro shows without you are for you. This song from Karz is your Papa singing for you.”
In an interview with Vickey Lalwani, Daboo Mallik opened up on Amaal’s post and shared that they were at fault as parents. He wrote, “I realised that this public outburst, which shouldn’t have come out in public in the first place, happened because there must have been something in his heart that he wanted the world, including his family, to know. And I accepted that we, as parents, were at fault. Sometimes we take one of the children for granted, and in this case, Amaal was the elder one.“
