As Aditya Dhar helmed’Dhurandhar’ shatters records to enter the Rs. 1,000 crore club worldwide, all eyes are on its sequel. In a recent revelation, actor Naveen Kaushik, who played the menacing Donga shared that the makers are operating under extreme secrecy to protect the plot of ‘Dhurandhar’ 2.

With ‘Dhurandhar’ ruling the box office, director Aditya Dhar is leaving no stone unturned for the Part 2 of the spy thriller, slated for March 19, 2026. Actor Naveen Kaushik who played the formidable Donga in Part 1 recently revealed in an interview that the production has implemented a strict lockdown on the script to prevent any digital leaks.

Naveen Kaushik reveals crucial ‘Dhurandhar’ Part 2 script details

In a conversation with CNN-News18 Showsha, Kaushik revealed how as a former cast member, he is not privy to the script of Part 2. For the unversed, Kaushik’s character Donga meets a ‘just and glorious’ end in Part 1. Kaushik said, “While I’m not part of it, I’m not permitted to read the scripts for the second part because obviously they want to keep eyeballs to a minimum so that there are no leaks about the script. But I’ve spoken to some of the other actors who are in the movie and are in the second part and they’ve said that the action is more, the storylines is more intricate. There is so much more intriguing that is going to happen. It will be even more exciting and enjoyable for the audience.“

In the same conversation, Kaushik also weighed in on the critical and commercial acclaim for ‘Dhurandhar’. The film has crossed Rs. 1000 crore with its worldwide box office collections. Kaushik said, “I think it’s going to be amazing. I’m really hoping it breaks the same kind of box office records that the first one did. One can only hope, as someone who is part of the movie, that the second part breaks the record of the first part, people love it as much as they have loved the first movie.”

About ‘Dhurandhar’

Part 1 led by Ranveer Singh featured standout performances by Akshaye Khanna, Naveen Kaushik, Saumya Tandon, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Danish Pandor, Sanjay Dutt and Rakesh Bedi. While the film is basking in the glory of its commercial acclaim, the film has also earned considerable critical acclaim for its plot, casting, well-etched character arcs, narration and music composed by Shashwat Sachdev. Part 2 is all set to clash with Yash’s ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ in March 2026.
