In a video that has been going viral on the internet, Habib Jan Baloch, a lawyer and Baloch nationalist who claimed that he is a close friend of Rehman Dakait, shared his views about the film. While talking to a reporter, the friend stated that he watched ‘Dhurandhar’ twice and appreciated the efforts of Bollywood.He quipped, “I won’t talk about the character. This is what happens in films. Had there been a few more songs, it would have been better.” Habib Jan Baloch added, “What Pakistan did not do, India’s Bollywood did. Thank you, Bollywood!”

However, he had different views about his portrayal in the movie. Baloch shared that Rehmad Dakait was a hero for the people of Lyari Town, on which the film is based. He said, “He was a hero, a good man. Pakistan is indebted to him.”
