Actor Dileep has issued his first official response following his acquittal in the Kerala actress assault case which marks a defining moment after eight years of legal battle and public scrutiny.As reported by 24 News, stepping outside the courtroom after the verdict, Dileep told reporters, “Truth has won today. I have been waiting for this moment for eight years. I withstood everything because I was innocent.” The actor also stated that he would speak in detail later and thanked those who stood by him throughout the trial.

Dileep noted that the past years took a heavy toll on both his personal life and career. “My family went through pain nobody should ever experience. I believed the truth would prevail, and today it has,” he added.Supporters gathered outside the court welcomed the verdict with cheers, singing praises and distributing laddoos in the court premises.

Film director and long-time friend Nadhirshah was among the first to react. Sharing a picture of himself holding Dileep close, he wrote on Facebook, “Thank you God, Satyameva Jayate.”
