Epstein mess: Kash Patel, Pam Bondi have no intention of stepping down; White House covers up clash as Dan Bongino mulls resigning
All eyes are on Kash Patel, Pam Bondi and Dan Bongino as one of them will have to take the fall for Epstein case mess.

After a tense Friday marked by an unprecedented clash between the FBI and the DOJ over the mishandling of the Epstein case, the White House said reports of the alleged clash between FBI deputy director Dan Bongino and Attorney General Pam Bondi are baseless. They have worked together on the case and closed the case with unity. The White House statement came as Dan Bongino is mulling his resignation and reports claimed FBI director Kash Patel will also resign if Pam Bondi is not fired. “President Trump has assembled a highly qualified and experienced law and order team dedicated to protecting Americans, holding criminals accountable, and delivering justice to victims,” White House spokesperson Harrison Fields said in a statement. “This work is being carried out seamlessly and with unity. Any attempt to sow division within this team is baseless and distracts from the real progress being made in restoring public safety and pursuing justice for all.”

Kash Patel, Pam Bondi have no intention to step down

Fox News reported that Bondi has no intention of stepping down and she is proud of the department and its work. President Donald Trump too is proud of her work. Kash Patel, too, is happy with his job and no intention of leaving, the report said adding that Kash also agrees with Dan Bongino’s sentiment that he is unfairly being blamed for the messy situation. Patel also agrees that Pam Bondi needs to be removed from her post, reports said.

‘Dan Bongino to resign soon’

MAGA activist Laura Loomer predicted that Dan Bongino may resign during the weekend, leaving the post of the deputy director empyty by Monday. Loomer threw her weight behind the FBI leadership and said Pam Bondi should be fired instead as she is a massive liability to the administration. “The resignation from @dbongino could even possibly come tonight,” Loomer wrote.

What is the mess over the Epstein files?

The DOJ and the FBI closed the Epstein case, concluding that Epstein was not murdered and that there is no high-profile client list to be published. They also published 10-hour raw footage showing no one came outside Epstein’s prison cell where he was found hanging. Dan Bongino reviewed the footage and gave a go-ahead. But after its release, there was a massive row over a missing minute. The administration said the surveillance took one minute before rebooting and restarting recording. But Dan Bongino is now being blamed for overlooking and warning the administration about this glitch.
