Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, visited Saibaba Temple in Shirdi on Sunday. Fadnavis shared pictures and video from the visit, which show both the leaders taking blessings and offering prayers in the temple.

“Feeling blessed to visit Shri Saibaba Temple in Shirdi with our leader, Hon Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amitbhai Shah. Hon Amitbhai Shah took darshan, blessings of Shri SaiBaba and performed pooja. We offered prayers for the happiness and well-being of all!,” wrote Fadnavis on X.

This comes after Shah held a meeting with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his deputies Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar in Shirdi town, according to BJP sources, who said on Sunday.

The meeting took place on Saturday and lasted for nearly 45 minutes, and mainly focused on the massive crop losses suffered by farmers in several districts. The leaders discussed the need for urgent financial assistance to help affected families recover from the agricultural destruction.

The four leaders also reviewed the progress of ongoing development projects and other important administrative matters in the state.

Shah, who arrived in Ahilyanagar district on Saturday night, joined the discussions soon after reaching Shirdi. Officials said the government is working on a comprehensive relief package to support farmers whose crops were destroyed by unseasonal and excessive rain.

Widespread unseasonal and excessive rainfall recently led to severe agricultural damage across multiple districts, prompting growing demands for immediate government assistance.
