The former US president’s previous ventures, Trump University and Trump Steaks, failed for various reasons. While Trump Steaks were discontinued shortly after their launch, Trump University faced a lawsuit for defrauding students.
Despite these setbacks, Trump continues to market unconventional items that promote his brand alongside his presidential campaign.
One notable product is a Bible, sold online for $59.99. In a promotional video, Trump said, “We must make America pray again.” This product aligns with his appeals to the religious right, a significant portion of the Republican base. The Bibles are released in collaboration with conservative musician Lee Greenwood.
Additionally, Trump supporters can purchase “Fight” sneakers for $299. These high-tops commemorate an alleged assassination attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania. The sneakers feature an image of Trump with a bleeding ear and the words “Fight! Fight! Fight!” along the soles.
Trump is also offering pieces of the suit he wore during a debate with President Joe Biden for $1,485. The website describes the fabric pieces as “a tangible piece of presidential history.” In a video, Trump said, “This is something to give your family, your kids, your grandchildren.”
Moreover, Trump has announced the sale of silver coins bearing his likeness for $100 each. The coins feature Trump’s face on one side and the White House on the other and are described as “a true symbol of American greatness.” Trump added, “I’ve seen a lot of coins out there using my very beautiful face… but they are not the official coin.”
These items are not intended to fund Trump’s campaign but are sold under licenses using his name and likeness.
