The H-1B controversy which saw the MAGA splitting up into groups got a quick de-escalation after President-elect Donald Trump said he has always favoured the H-1B program. Until then, there was one group led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy backing Sriram Krishnan’s opinion that H-1B should be extended removing country caps for the visa. This group was vehemently countered by many old-time Republicans, including Steven Bannon, Nikki Haley. And Laura Loomer, the far-right activist, conspiracy theorist was the main face of the anti-H1B lobby who accused Elon Musk of silencing her reach on X after she clashed with Elon Musk over the issue.
Elon Musk declared war, asked Republicans to f**k in the face
Over the H-1B row, Elon Musk declared war and said everyone who’s saying that H-1B should be stopped must take a big step back and “f**k YOURSELF in the face” because he was not ready to listen to any criticism of H-1B because he said “the reason I’m in America along with so many critical people who built SpaceX, Tesla and hundreds of other companies that made America strong is because of H1B”.
“Take a big step back and F**K YOURSELF in the face. I will go to war on this issue the likes of which you cannot possibly comprehend,” Elon Musk wrote as he disagreed to engage with ‘troll’ Laura Loomer.
Laura Loomer takes a step back, Elon Musk adds ‘please’ to his post
The moment Donald Trump clarified his stance on H-1B, Laura Loomer apologized to Trump’s AI adviser pick Sriram Krishnan for “accidentally doxxing” but she asserted that her H-1B stance remains the same as she wants the best for Americans.
Elon Musk too made a random post on X which read: “Please post a bit more positive, beautiful and informative content on this platform.”
Social media users exclaimed about the change in Musk’s tone as businessman Mark Cuban replied: “You first”.
Trump said ‘I’ve always liked the visas’
Both Elon Musk and Laura Loomer softened their attacks over the issue after Donald Trump said he always liked the visas. “I’ve always liked the visas, I have always been in favour of the visas. That’s why we have them,” Trump told the New York Post. “I have many H-1B visas on my properties. I’ve been a believer in H-1B. I have used it many times. It’s a great programme,” he added.
