FSU shooter's troubled past revealed: Phoenix Ikner was 'kidnapped' by his biological mother, taken to Norway
Jessica Ikner (left) is FSU shooting accused Phoenix’s step mom. His biological mom ranted on social media after the shooting.

Phoenix Ikner, the 20-year-old accused shooter, who killed two at his Florida State University rampage yesterday, had a bitter past involving the custody battle of his parents. When he was 11 years old, his mother Anne-Mari Erijsen reportedly kidnapped her to Norway violating the custody agreement she had with his father Christopher Ikner. She told her husband that she was taking Phoenix to South Florida for spring break but flew to Norway, New York Post reported, citing an affidavit.
Christopher came to know that his son had been taken to Norway when he revealed this to his father during a phone call. This led to a police case and the mother did not return to the US within the stipulated time and had to be arrested later for illegally removing a child from Florida.
The suit said the kidnapping amounted much emotional and psychological harm done to the minor child for which he would require counselling.

The alleged shooter’s childhood history shows that he had special needs and developmental delays. He was also on medication for several health and mental issues, had a growth hormone disorder and ADHD.

Who is Jessical Ikner, county sheriff’s deputy?

The gun used at the FSU shooting belonged to county sheriff’s deputy Jessica Ikner, who is the stepmother of Phoenix Ikner. Phoenix’s biological mother took to social media before the shooter’s identity was revealed making it evident that her son was the accused.
“Horrible when your alienating son’s dad is as mentally unstable as he is, along with his LCSO cop wife, that they can’t respond when you write to ask if everything is alright with my son, who studies ar [sic] FSU,’ she wrote in a now-deleted post. “That whole familly [sic] is nuts. He should write a book on how to parent badly, but he can’t communicate.”
“Feel sorry for everyone at FSU and their kids,” she wrote.
