‘He can’t go too far or will get fired’: Donald Trump teases CNN’s Jennings mid-100-day rally
US President Donald Trump with CNN conservative commentator Scott Jennings

United States President Donald Trump on Tuesday, during his 100-day rally, called CNN conservative commentator Scott Jennings to the stage, where he delivered a pointed critique of Democrats.
Trump praised Jennings’ defence of him on CNN, noting, “He defends me all the time on CNN, and he defends me well, but he can’t go too far because he’ll get fired.” The president playfully remarked about Jennings’ CNN future as he welcomed the 47-year-old to the podium during the Warren, Michigan rally marking his second term’s first 100 days.

Jennings addressed the crowd, stating, “Michigan, we were flying in here today, and I said, ‘Look at these farms. I’ve got to get a farm in Michigan — because when you own as many libs as I do, you gotta get a place to put them all.'”
Earlier this month, Jennings had a notable exchange with former MSNBC host Tiffany Cross during a discussion about colonisation. When Cross called him “irrelevant,” he responded, “You got fired from your job. How relevant are you?”
In another instance, he confronted former Biden administration official Neera Tanden during a heated debate about political violence, stating, “Yeah, I’m sorry you’re a condescending person who hasn’t been paying attention to what I do.”
His performance at CNN has resulted in a substantial salary increase and contract renewal, although the network declined his request for a dedicated programme. The Princeton, Ky., native is now being considered as a potential candidate for Mitch McConnell’s Senate seat, having previously served as McConnell’s adviser.
