A mention of Gen-Z in a social media post of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi kicked off a big controversy, with BJP leaders alleging that the Leader of Opposition wants to instigate a civil war in the country.
The Congress leader said he will stand with the country’s youth, students and Gen-Z who will save the constitution, democracy, and stop vote theft. But the BJP linked his Gen-Z mention to Nepal, where Gen-Z protests brought down the KP Sharma Oli government.
देश के Yuvaदेश के Studentsदेश की Gen Zसंविधान को बचाएंगे, लोकतंत्र की रक्षा करेंगे और वोट चोरी को रोकेंगे।मैं उनके साथ हमेशा खड़ा हूं।

Maharashtra Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said Rahul Gandhi has proved that he speaks the language of an urban naxal.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said Rahul Gandhi thinks he can use alternative routes to come to power when people are not electing his party.
“I don’t know what he is trying to say… We are the largest democracy in the world. Is it our fault that people don’t vote for him? He is making nonsense statements and comparing us with Nepal and Sri Lanka… He thinks that if he cannot come to power democratically, then he will use alternative routes. This mentality can never be acceptable to the people of India because we have been a democratic country forever… Roots of democracy in India are from time immemorial… People do not like his call for anarchy,” he said.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey alleged that “Rahul Gandhi wants to instigate civil war in India and he is working with the Soros Foundation to divide the nation.
Dubey said his party stands with Gen-Z, which he said is against nepotism. “If Gen Z rises in India, Congress and its allies would be seen absconding from the nation,” he added.
BJP MP Kangana Ranaut alleged that Rahul Gandhi is calling Gen-Z to protest in India, like in Nepal.
“He should know that in Nepal, Gen Z has toppled a dynastic government. Rahul Gandhi doesn’t know what’s happening in the world. He wakes up in the morning and posts whatever he wants while rubbing his eyes. Rahul Gandhi should know that dynasts like him have been toppled in Nepal and democracy has been established… If he continues with his actions, he will be forced to escape from this country,” she said.
Kerala BJP chief Rajeev Chandrasekhar said Gen-Z of India kicked Rahul Gandhi out of power. “Generations of Gen Z have been betrayed by the Congress party over the last 75 years through their corruption and through their nepotism,” he said.
