How Indian workers can tap job opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 Mega-Projects
The essence of global collaboration, showing a diverse team of Indian professionals and engineers working on a futuristic mega-project in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 giga-projects have reopened one of the Gulf’s biggest hiring channels and Indian workers are in the front row. From site teams on NEOM and The Line to hospitality crews on the Red Sea resorts, demand is large and ongoing; the hiring is phased to project milestones rather than a single “recruitment day,” so preparation and verified skills are the winning edge

Saudi Vision 2030 = Jobs, big and ongoing

Saudi Arabia has absorbed a large share of India’s recent outbound workforce: between January 2020 and June 2025 roughly 1.6 million Indian ECR workers went abroad and around 695,000 took jobs in Saudi Arabia, a surge driven in large part by Vision 2030 developments. Recruitment peaked in 2023 and has continued into 2024–25 as construction and tourism phases accelerated. Saudi Arabia has launched multiple mega-projects under Vision 2030: NEOM (The Line, Oxagon, Trojena), Red Sea Global (luxury resorts & tourism), Diriyah heritage & tourism developments, and many industrial, energy, logistic hubs. These projects are in different phases: some hospitality & resort openings (2023-2025), others heavy construction & tech infrastructure that will run up to 2030 and beyond. For Indian workers, this means there is (and will continue to be) sustained hiring across construction, skilled trades, hospitality, services, energy, and tech sectors.

What kind of jobs you can get: Skills and demand

Here are the types of roles being offered frequently, especially in 2024-2025, and expected stronger demand into 2026-2030:

  • Construction and trades: masons, steel fixers, welders, heavy machinery operators — needed constantly as structures go up.
  • Skilled technical / engineering roles: HVAC technicians, electricians, mechanical and electrical plant operators, maintenance for utilities and energy zones (especially in NEOM/Oxagon).
  • Hospitality & services: resort operations staff, hotel management, food & beverage, housekeeping. Many resorts are now open or opening in phases (Red Sea, Amaala).
  • New economy & tech: data centers, renewable energy, AI/IoT support roles are increasing as more tech and green infrastructure projects come online.

To boost your chances: have your technical qualifications ready, any certificate verification needed (see below), and aim for experience relevant to the mega-projects.

How to apply — Portals, visas and verification

If you plan to apply, here are reliable portals and steps you should follow:Portals / Websites to apply through

  • Red Sea Global Careers: View open roles and apply directly via Red Sea Global’s site.
  • NEOM.Work: Job portal dedicated to NEOM’s opportunities in many sectors.
  • Unified National Employment Platform (Jadarat) via HRSD and government postings: connects job-seekers with public & private sector opportunities. (Though many roles are private, this is useful for regulatory alignment and visa info.)
  • Saudi Ministry of Health Employment Portal: for roles in healthcare and related services.

Verification and visa steps

  • Register for Saudi Skills / Professional / Technical Verification (SVP) if your occupation is listed. Employers increasingly ask for this verification before hiring.
  • Make sure your certificates, education, experience documents are translated (if needed), attested, and valid.
  • Use reputable recruitment agencies, check their licensing (especially since many non-compliant agencies have been flagged by Saudi’s HRSD) to avoid scams.

Timelines, risks and what to watch closely

  • Project Timelines: Red Sea, Amaala, and parts of Diriyah are hiring now, with phases opening through 2025, NEOM’s big zones – The Line, Oxagon, Trojena – will keep recruiting engineers, trades, and tech talent until 2030. Industrial and renewable-energy hubs will add new jobs as plants and logistics corridors come online over the next five years.
  • Key Risks to Keep in Mind: Wage delays, cramped housing, or weak safety checks may occur on fast-paced sites that always confirm conditions in writing. Ensure salary schedules, overtime rules, and accommodation are clearly mentioned in your contract.
  • Policy & Regulation Changes: Saudization quotas can reshape which roles remain open to expats. Visa rules and the Saudi Skilled Worker Verification Program may affect hiring timelines to keep documents ready.

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 is more than a set of construction sites, it’s a once-in-a-generation chance for Indian talent to build careers on a global stage. From the futuristic skyline of NEOM to the pristine shores of the Red Sea, opportunities span every skill level and sector. With the right paperwork, verified recruiters, and an eye on project timelines, Indian professionals can turn the Kingdom’s giga-projects into solid, rewarding jobs. The key is to stay informed, act early, and choose safe, reputable channels, so when the next hiring wave hits, you’re ready to step in.
