Hrithik Roshan has just raised the stakes for Bollywood’s big-budget game. The superstar is returning to the YRF Spy Universe with War 2, not just as its lead hero but also as a profit-sharing partner—a move that places him alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan, who already enjoy backend deals with Yash Raj Films.

Rs 50 Crore Upfront, Plus a Share in the Profits

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Hrithik has been paid a hefty upfront fee of ₹50 crore for Ayan Mukerji’s upcoming directorial War 2. Having been associated with the franchise since its blockbuster first installment in 2019, Hrithik continues his collaboration with producer Aditya Chopra through a backend profit-sharing deal with Yash Raj Films—making him one of the few Bollywood stars to secure such high-stakes partnerships.After War 2 completes its run, Hrithik and Aditya Chopra will split the profits. With high box office expectations, Hrithik is set to earn a substantial amount beyond his Rs 50 crore upfront fee.The actor has now joined Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan in having a profit-sharing (backend) deal with Yash Raj Films.

Jr NTR Bags Record Fee for Bollywood Debut

Jr NTR has reportedly been paid a staggering Rs 70 crore by YRF for War 2—the highest fee ever for an actor debuting in a Bollywood film. Kiara Advani has reportedly received Rs 15 crore for her role, while Anil Kapoor has been paid Rs 10 crore.

One of India’s Costliest Films Yet

Made on a massive budget of Rs 400 crore, War 2 ranks among the most expensive Indian films ever made. The recently released trailer has amplified excitement ahead of its release. Hrithik Roshan reprises his role as Major Kabir Dhaliwal, while Kiara Advani joins the cast as Kavya Luthra.
