Telangana Congress leader Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy has said he is waiting for the party to honour its assurance of including him in the state Cabinet. The Munugode MLA stated that he expects to be sworn in as a minister soon and wants the commitment to be fulfilled respectfully.

Reddy expressed confidence that he would soon take up responsibilities at the state level. He asked supporters to look after constituency matters while he concentrates on broader political duties.

At the same time, he made it clear that if the promised ministerial position does not come through, he would aim for the Chief Minister’s post in the future. His remarks underline both his expectation of a Cabinet role and his larger political ambitions within the party.

“You gave your word, now stand by it. If not a minister, then let’s go straight to becoming Chief Minister,” he said.

Reddy insisted the leadership should stand by its word regarding the ministerial berth, describing it as a matter of commitment rather than favour.
