Indian-origin physician Dr Sanjay Agarwal arrested in California for sexual battery.

The Milpitas Police in California has notified about the arrest of Dr Sanjay Agarwal, an Indian-origin physician in San Jose, on the charge of sexual assault on a female patient during consultation. “On September 16, 2025, a prior sexual battery was reported to the Milpitas Police Department. The reporting party indicated Dr Sanjay Agarwal inappropriately touched a female patient. Detectives investigated the accusation and determined Dr. Agarwal had inappropriately touched a patient during a consultation,” the notice said. “On September 24, 2025, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Bureau arrested Dr Agarwal at his office in Milpitas. He was later booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for sexual battery.”“Anyone with information about this investigation or who believes they may have been a victim of Dr Agarwal is asked to contact Milpitas Police Department detectives at (408) 586-2400.
