President-elect Donald Trump Friday morning took to Truth Social and wrote something very confusing but it involved Bill Gates and X, probably Elon Musk’s son. “Where are you? When are you coming to the “Center of the Universe,” Mar-a-Lago. Bill Gates asked to come, tonight. We miss you and x! New Year’s Eve is going to be AMAZING!!! DJT,” the post read.
It was not clear whether Trump wrote the post for Elon Musk or whether it was meant to be sent to Musk privately. The post immediately got attention as Trump claimed that Microsoft founder and tech billionaire Bill Gates requested to visit Mar-a-Lago.
What is clear from the message?
Even after two hours, the post was not deleted making it unclear whether it was meant for Musk. The only clue it has linking the message to Elon Musk is the reference to X who is regularly seen at Mar-a-Lago with his father.
Another thing that is clear is that Bill Gates will soon become Trump’s guest after several tech leaders paid Trump a visit notwithstanding their past relationship with Trump. The latest to meet Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago was Amazon founder Jeff Bezos who had an unfavorable opinion about Donald Trump in 2016. But now he thinks Donald Trump is a changed man and he’s also ready for a better relationship starting with Amazon’s huge donation to Trump’s inauguration fund.
Before Bezos, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, Open AI’s Sam Altman made Mar-a-Lago their pilgrimage.
Donald Trump missing Elon Musk amid major controversies
If the message is meant for Elon Musk, it’s clear that the ongoing controversies have not impacted Donald Trump’s reliance on Musk. During the row over the spending bill, Elon Musk’s interference in the government matters was called out by several Republicans and Elon Musk was called President Musk and Donald Trump as Vice President Trump.
Elon Musk dismissed the row and said it was only to create a wedge between him and the President-elect. But soon came another controversy in which MAGA activists are up in arms against Elon Musk as Musk said he is in favor of removing the country cap for H-1B visas. MAGA activists criticised Elon Musk for failing to uphold America First policy and be willing to get more foreign workers.
